TOWN OF LIBERTY GROVE, Wis. — A Franklin man is dead following a moped crash in Door County.
The sheriff’s office says the 54-year-old lost control along Highway 42 in the town of Liberty Grove, was thrown from the bike and struck a culvert pipe around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday.
He was airlifted to Door County Medical Center and later flown to a Green Bay hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation.
