APPLETON, Wis–A conservative law group is racing concerns about a minority-exclusive event hosted by an Appleton school. The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty is taking issue with a Facebook post promoting a meet-and-greet only for freshman students of color at Appleton East High School on August 15th.
WILL claims that excluding white students is racist. They want the post taken down, or to have the event opened up to all incoming freshmen at the school. The event would feature free food and a chance to meet with East’s cultural advisor.
The Appleton Area School District has not issued a statement on WILL’s request.
