FOND DU LAC, WI — A Milwaukee man is convicted for a conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Fond du Lac County. Lateef Strong was found guilty of conspiracy to deliver 40-grams of cocaine between Fond du Lac and the source cities of Milwaukee and Chicago. Strong is the last of 15 defendants to be tried in this case. He faces up to 65 years in prison. Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney says the conspiracy was shut down through the combined efforts of Fond du Lac Police, the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Drug Unit, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, and the Drug Enforcement Administration. The conspiracy ring was responsible for delivering nearly 127 lbs of cocaine worth $9.6 million dollars.
