TOWN OF HELVETIA, Wis. — An airplane pilot is killed in a crash while landing at an airport in Waupaca County.
The Waupaca County Communication Center was notified just before 1 p.m. Saturday of the crash at Central County Airport in the Town of Helvetia.
The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office says the plane overturned while landing, causing the death of the pilot. The crash is under investigation.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Administration are aiding in the investigation.
