OSHKOSH, Wis–The Oshkosh Corporation will begin limited production of a new unmanned missile launcher for the Marine Corps. The ROGUE, or Remotely Operated Ground Unit for Expeditionary Fires system, is based on the design of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle that Oshkosh Defense has been producing for the Pentagon.
The vehicle and its weapons system can both be operated remotely. Oshkosh had built six prototypes earlier this year. The $40-million contract calls for an initial run of a limited number for further testing.
