Happy Friday the 13th. The date, not the movies.
I am not a superstitious person. Nor am I one to put stock in traditions or any jinx that might help or hurt my team.
You won’t find me putting on the rally cap when my team trails in the 9th, nor will you catch me shaking spirit fingers or my overturned cap, looking for just a bit of good luck to fall in the well. Nope, no lucky numbers or combinations of same. No wearing of an old, lucky, (stinky) sweatshirt that could likely stand in the corner on its own, if allowed to. No secret handshake or lucky high five, no crossed fingers or toes (ouch). Not even a secret chant or voodoo spell uttered by a Witch Doctor on the Bayou. Nope, I choose to go mystic-free with the faith I have in good old-fashioned good fortune and skill.
An old-fashioned and a bit of luck wouldn’t hurt my chances, though.
