Some strikes have settled, a few noteworthy strikes continue….welcome to the season of strikes.
While the writers strike has settled, the actors strike in Hollywood continues and both sides are far apart. The UAW strike with Ford is ending, but with strikes ongoing with GM and Stellantis, it’s causing a ripple effect of layoffs at other plants not involved in the strike.
When you look at causes, a consistent theme seems to be appearing: companies making record profits and it doesn’t filter down to the workers, trying to retrieve benefits lost in previous deals, and in this tight labor market, you need us!
It’s been a long time since workers appear to have the upper hand in these contract battles. Now, about this inflation…..
