OSHKOSH, Wis. — A Neenah woman is accused of starving seven cats to death.
Jennifer McDonald is charged in Winnebago County Court with mistreatment of an animal causing death and intentionally abandoning an animal.
According to the criminal complaint, McDonald moved to a new residence in September of last year but left her cats behind at her old house with no food or water. The felines were eventually discovered in April.
Police say the cats had resorted to cannibalism.
McDonald faces up to three years in prison if convicted.
