MENASHA, Wis. — Menasha’s new police chief knows the city well.
Lt. Matthew Albrecht is selected as police chief by the Menasha Police Commission.
Albrecht is a 25-year veteran of the Menasha Police Department. He started his career as a community service officer before becoming a patrol officer and later a lieutenant.
Albrecht replaces Nick Thorn, who resigned last March.
Albrecht will officially be sworn in on Aug. 3.
