GREEN BAY, Wis. — Green Bay City Clerk Celestine Jeffreys resigns her position.
In a statement, the city says Jeffreys has decided to step down. No further details were released.
Jeffreys had been on administrative leave amid an investigation by the Wisconsin Elections Commission into the issuance of duplicate ballots to absentee voters on two occasions this year.
Green Bay officials provided a report to the WEC last week stating she was responsible for printing too many labels for ballot envelopes in March and June.
