KAUKAUNA, Wis–The Kaukauna Area School Board does not take action against a principal accused of sexual misconduct. Board members reached that decision following a lengthy closed session discussion about River View Middle School Principal Lucas Cromell Monday night.
Cromell, who previously served as a teacher and administrator in the Oconto Falls School District, is named in a federal lawsuit against the district over sexual misconduct by employees.
According to the complaint, Cromell sent inappropriate messages to students and talked with female staff members about sex acts. During public comment, Drew Pavlovich of Kaukauna said the matter sheds a negative light on the community……….
School Board President Chris Bouressa says they don’t have solid evidence of any prior misconduct…….
In an email sent to families earlier this month, Kaukauna officials said Cromell passed the district’s screening process and has “consistently conducted himself in a professional and ethical manner.”
