(APPLETON, WI) — The Appleton Police Department apprehends two people Wednesday morning in connection with a series of thefts from vehicles on the city’s southeast side.
Officers responded to a call reporting an unoccupied vehicle with doors open near N. Cambridge Drive and E. Edgemere Drive. It was determined that the vehicle had been stolen elsewhere in the city.
When Appleton Police arrived in the area, four people fled on foot. Officers located an adult man and a juvenile male and took them into custody.
Other reports of thefts from vehicles in the surrounding neighborhood were reported through out the morning.
The incident remains under investigation. Appleton Police are asking residents to check their doorbell or security video footage that may help in this ongoing investigation.
