GREEN BAY, Wis. — Criminal charges are filed against a Green Bay man accused of driving at police officers while trying to flee a disturbance.
Craig Buford is facing counts of reckless endangerment, fleeing an officer and OWI second offense.
Buford was allegedly involved in an initial incident at a downtown taco truck in the early morning hours of last Saturday. He then reportedly used his car to block another vehicle from leaving a parking lot.
When police arrived on the scene, Buford allegedly took off, striking a woman and hitting an officer in the hand. The officer opened fire on Buford’s car as he fled the scene.
If convicted, he would face up to 16 years in prison.
