WINNECONNE, Wis. — Former Winneconne Community School District Administrator Peggy Larson challenges an investigation that led to her retirement.
In a statement, Larson’s attorneys say, “this is not the way she expected her years of service to Winneconne to come to an end” and she “disagrees with the investigation, its conclusions, and certain assertions made by the investigator.”
The School Board placed Larson on administrative leave just days before the start of the school year in August. A statement from the Board said she was the subject of an “internal investigation” but never detailed the nature of that probe.
The Board accepted Larson’s retirement on a 4-2 vote this week.
