NEENAH, Wis. — Neenah police remind drivers to stop for school buses when their flashing red lights are activated.
The department has posted footage from a bus camera showing at least three oncoming vehicles going past the bus while it was stopped in the 700 block of Main Street last Wednesday afternoon.
Officers were positioned in the area and issued citations against the drivers.
State law requires motorists to stop at least 20 feet from a school bus when it is stopped and activates its red flashing lights. The law does not apply to motorists heading in the opposite direction of a bus on a divided highway.
