MENASHA, Wis. — The city of Menasha is the latest municipality to adopt a one-year moratorium on the development of large-scale data centers.
Development director Andrew Dane says the moratorium will give them time to draft zoning requirements for such projects……….
Alderman Chris Rand points out the city itself is a consumer of data center output……….
Under state statute, the one-year moratorium can be extended another six months if a municipality can prove it is continuing work on zoning code development.
