OSHKOSH, Wis. — Oshkosh police make three arrests in connection with a string of car break-ins and thefts.
Since Sept. 27, there have been 33 reported incidents of car entries, with three firearms being taken.
On Monday a vehicle owner reported having two guns taken from a vehicle. The SWAT team conducted a raid on a residence in the 1000 block of Durfee Avenue in connection with those thefts Tuesday morning. A 46-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were taken into custody at the scene. The teen had a loaded semi-automatic weapon on him at the time.
A 16-year-old boy was located in the 1000 block of Witzel Avenue later in the morning. He reportedly fought with police officers and pulled another semi-automatic handgun. He was disarmed and taken into custody.
One officer suffered minor injuries in the skirmish.
Criminal charges are pending.
