A 20-year-old kayaker went missing in Door County over the weekend.
The Coast Guard is searching for the man off the western shore. Family members say he was planning to kayak from Nicolet Bay to Horseshoe Island on Saturday. They called the sheriff’s department when he didn’t come back that night.
DNR crews found the man’s kayak on Horseshoe Island. His vehicle was parked at a nearby boat landing, and his life jacket and cell phone were inside.
