There are two confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus in Wisconsin so far this year, and they’re both from northeast Wisconsin.
The people live in Fond du Lac and Oconto counties.
The Department of Health Services says normally, most of the human cases are reported in August and September.
Experts say the odds of a mosquito passing along the virus to someone are very low. They say most people won’t have any symptoms. If they get sick, they might have a fever, headache, and rash for a few days.
