First-year students are moving into their rooms on the Lawrence University campus today.
Dean of Admissions Ken Anselment says this is the second year that they have more students from outside of the upper-Midwest than from it. He says one of the biggest states they attract students from is Texas.
Anselment says a few students were displaced by Hurricane Harvey, but other students have reached out to make sure they’re OK.
Thirty-four of the 385 students come from 19 different countries.
