A state lawmaker from Green Bay is trying to help people pay for insulin.
Democratic Sen. Dave Hansen wants to put a $100 cap, per month, on co-pays for the drug. He says it now costs about $340 for a vial that has around 30 doses.
Hansen questions why it costs almost 10 times as much for insulin in the U.S., compared to Canada.
He’s introducing a bill that would also require the state insurance commissioner to investigate insulin prices.
