Kimberly and Little Chute are splitting up their joint library system.
Little Chute leaders made the decision to move ahead separately.
Administrator James Fenlon says there were concerns about the cost-sharing formula and how they might consolidate the branches in each village. He says they’re the smallest system in the state with more than one location.
The libraries are in the heart of the downtown in each village. The formal separation isn’t expected to take place until the start of 2021.
Fenlon thinks there are still opportunities to work together on other things.
