A major intersection on Oshkosh’s south side will be closed for more than two months.
Work at Oregon Street and West 20th Avenue is scheduled to start today. Crews will be rebuilding the intersection. To do that they’ll be digging at least 20 feet deep. The project is expected to take about 10 weeks.
The shutdown comes after the end of EAA AirVenture nearby.
The detours for northbound and southbound drivers on Oregon Street follow West 24th Avenue, South Main Street, and West 9th Avenue. Eastbound and westbound drivers on West 20th Avenue can use West South Park Avenue, Ohio Street, and West 9th Avenue.
