There are concerns that China’s latest threat in the trade war with the U.S. will impact Wisconsin farmers even more.
China reportedly will stop buying agriculture products from the U.S.
Karen Gefvert of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation says China is the second- or third-largest importer for Wisconsin’s agriculture industry.
Gefvert says farmers across the state have already been hit hard by tariffs and this year’s weather. She says the latest development would be like “kicking a man when they’re down.”
