The state’s economic development agency wants to make rural areas a priority.
Missy Hughes is the CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and she’s looking forward to setting up a new Office of Rural Prosperity. She hopes people will reach out to them with ideas for potential businesses and projects.
Hughes says the agency will also hold listening sessions in rural areas around the state.
