Tonight’s Bazaar After Dark on Appleton’s north side is being postponed because of the potential for lightning.
Nikki Hessel is the director of Pulse Young Professionals Network. She says they have a rain-or-shine policy, but they made the tough decision for safety reasons. The night market was supposed to be along Wisconsin Avenue between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Hessel says they run a lot of electricity up and down the street, including overhead lighting, and lighting for the booths. She says they’re working to get in touch with all of the vendors.
They don’t have a new date yet, but Hessel says they’re hoping to hold the rescheduled event in the next couple of weeks.
Bazaar After Dark debuted on Wisconsin Avenue last September. Thousands of people also turned out for the first two night markets this year, in Kaukauna and Menasha.
