The number of new coronavirus tests to come back positive from the past day dropped for the fourth straight day.
Five-point-seven percent were positive, and that’s down from 7.9 percent yesterday. Governor Evers wants to see 14 straight days of declines before scaling back social distancing guidelines.
The state also received results from more than 5,500 tests. The governor’s goal is to have 11,000 tests a day.
The state is reporting 9,215 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin. That’s up 3-1/2 percent from yesterday’s total of 8,901.
There have been 374 confirmed deaths, and that’s 12 more than yesterday.
Brown County has 53 new cases, for a total of 1,706. Outagamie added 10, for 93.
Two counties have three new cases. Winnebago is at 88, and Oconto 26.
Calumet added two, for 22 overall, and Fond du Lac has one more, for 84 overall.
The statewide hospitalization rate for confirmed cases is 19 percent.
Forty-nine percent of confirmed cases in the state have recovered.
