People will have a chance to say what they think about the proposed price increase by Kaukauna Utilities today.
General manager Jeff Feldt says the utility provides electricity and water. He says the increase in 9.5 percent. He says it’s partially because of Appleton Coated going into receivership. He says the other portion is for normal operating costs.
He says Appleton Coated has been largest customer accounting for 25 percent of its revenue. If the 9.5 percent boost went into effect the average customer’s bill would increase by $10 a month.
The Wisconsin Public Service Commission is holding a public hearing at 10:00 a.m. at the Kaukauna Utilities building on Island Street.
