Free speech rights are a hot topic on college campuses across the nation, including here in Wisconsin. In fact, one such case reached the state Supreme Court.
After identifying a graduate student by name in a 2014 blog post, Marquette University suspended Professor John McAdams. On Friday, July 6, the Supreme Court of Wisconsin ruled that the suspension violated the University’s contract with Dr McAdams and ordered he be immediately reinstated.
Dr. McAdams called in to talk with Josh about his reaction to the decision, what it means for free speech in the classroom, and when he plans to return to campus.
