A member of the Fox Cities Regional Partnership says the Kimberly-Clark deal is exciting for the community.
Peter Thillman is the vice president of economic development for the group. He says it affects more than just the Fox Crossing Cold Spring plant. He says it’s about the entire footprint of Wisconsin. He says it includes the plant in Marinette and the Neenah headquarters. Thillman says it’s about 3,000 jobs, and a $200 million investment into the community.
The state is giving Kimberly-Clark $28 million over five years to keep the Fox Crossing facilities open. It’s contingent on the company keeping 388 jobs at a yearly payroll of 30 million dollars through 2023. Kimberly-Clark leader also said they would invest up to $200 million in the plant over the five years.
