An Oshkosh woman’s story of compassion is garnering international attention.
Amber Leinweber got a new cell phone for work, and she noticed text messages talking about how much the sender missed someone.
Leinweber says she replied to the text, and found out the phone number belonged to Ruth Murray’s brother, who recently died from cancer.
Murray and Leinweber are staying in touch, and Lineweber is helping Murray through the grieving process.
Amber and Ruth’s story has gone viral on Reddit, and both have done interviews in Britain and across the U.S.
They hope to meet in person soon.
