After raising nearly $70,000 for teenager Charlie Knuth and his fight with cancer, race car drivers hosted a benefit over the weekend.
The boy from the Darboy area also has a rare skin disease.
Drivers auctioned off doors from their race cars online, and buyers were able to meet them and take pictures Saturday night. They also had a check presentation, and raised more money at Lake Park Pub in Harrison.
Driver Andy Monday worked with the Darboy Corner Store on the auction. He says it’s impressive to see the racing community come together for a common cause.
People can donate to Charlie Knuth at the Darboy Corner Store and all Prospera Credit Union locations.
