People won’t be able to have gatherings of 10 or more people in Wisconsin.
Governor Evers is issuing the order, and he’s also closing all restaurants and bars. They had to shut down, by 5 p.m. Tuesday. They can remain open for take-out and deliveries.
Evers says he’s making the decision because coronavirus continues to spread. He’s asking people to stay home if they can. He says they need health care workers, first responders and military members to remain healthy, so they can continue to keep everyone safe.
Evers says there are exceptions to the limits on gathering for critical services. They include child care facilities, hospitals, and long-term care facilities.
The governor also announced all K-12 public and private schools will remain closed indefinitely. He originally set a possible reopening date of April 6th.
