A “reimagined” Appleton Children’s Week takes place July 19-25 and we’re hearing from Oliver Zornow, the executive director of the Building for Kids. Oliver gives us details on how Children’s Week will look a bit different and how your family can get involved too!
During our chat with the YMCA of the Fox Cities, Dani Englebert the COO of the YMCA joins us to talk about how the reopening of the Y has gone. We also discuss today’s announcement of guidelines for public schools to reopen in the fall. Dani explains the conversations they’re having and the guidelines that are out there for “out of school time” facilities like the YMCA.
Tell Me Something Good: We’re talking with the creator and organizer of a Facebook group dedicated to connecting consumers and farmers in Wisconsin. Rae Ann Sherr started Farm Direct Wisconsin in April and has since grown the group to almost 50,000 members. People in the group are able to find farms in their community that are selling things like beef, chicken or produce.
