A $231,000 grant will let Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley provide in-school mental health services in Calumet County.
THRIVE Calumet is a collaboration to provide on-site mental health services to school districts in partnership with Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley.
Samaritan Counseling Center Executive Director Rosangela Berbert says the school-based counseling makes a difference. If the screening identifies a mental health concern, the student will have a confidential follow-up conversation with a screening staff member and parents/guardians can receive a referral to an area mental health provider.
Berbert says the services will be provided to the Brillion, Chilton, Hilbert, New Holstein and Stockbridge school districts.
