One man is in custody and a number of illegal drugs discovered during a welfare check in the Village of Stockbridge. Calumet County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence on Wednesday in the 1200 block of Lake Street. Deputies spoke with four people living at that location. One of them admitted to having illegal narcotics and that more were inside the home. After obtaining a search warrant, deputies confiscated marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia and a fire arm. A 33-year-old man was arrested and jailed on charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping. Charges against the three other individual have been forwarded to the Calumet County District Attorney.
