A Milwaukee area man is now formally charged in connection with a March shooting at a Fond du Lac tavern. Devonta Tate is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, felon in possession of a firearm, bail jumping and other charges. Tate was taken into custody on an unrelated matter in April. The charges against Tate are connected to a shooting at the Kings and Queens Lounge on March 28. A Fond du Lac Police officer witnessed a fight outside the lounge, heard a series of gunshots and then found a 34-year-old with gunshot wounds. That man was later hospitalized. An initial appearance for Davonta Tate has not yet been scheduled.
