A wood burning stove is being blamed for a shed fire in Appleton.
Crews were called to the 1300 block of West Second Street on the west side around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday for a fire in a back yard near a house. Crews were able to put out the fire quickly but flames damaged several trees, a nearby metal shed and other belongings.
No one was hurt. A damage estimate isn’t available.
