APPLETON, Wis–The Trout Museum of Art unveils the design for its new building in downtown Appleton. The museum is relocating to the 300-block of East College Avenue, on property owned by Lawrence University.
The design features two, stacked rectangles covering more than 100-thousand square feet of space. Trout officials say the building will “redefine downtown Appleton’s skyline”.
Meanwhile, Lawrence has announced it has received $10-million for their share of the project cost. The college will use space in the new building for its Conservancy of Music, along with classroom space for computer science and math. The donor wishes to remain anonymous. It is the third largest donation in Lawrence history.
Work on the project will begin next year and should be completed by September of 2025.
