Dave Edwards and So, How’s your week going—Nap edition!
5-30-24
If you are in your 50’s, maybe 60’s or lo and behold, a bit more-seasoned…how often do you say: “I’m getting too old for this stuff!?” Or some variation of that proclamation!
Case in point: My now 4+ year old grandson, Carson, was a breeze to pick up and toss around when he was 2. But now, yikes! I used to enjoy cutting my yard and now I despise it. Especially in those last 10-15 minutes when everything aches! And those yard and garden projects that used to get done efficiently….now, they get done when I am good and ready.
Add to those tasks anything to do on a ladder, painting, laundry or ironing. I figure it’s time to look as frumpy as I feel.
I have also resolved to cure many of my task woes with a good, solid nap. And, no kitty naps here—I make mine 30-45 minutes. If my nap gets curtailed in the first 5-10 minutes, I wake up in a fog that won’t lift!
Oh—my dog is totally on board with the “no kitty nap” thing.
