TOWN OF BELLE PLAINE, Wis. — A driver is rescued after his vehicle enters the Wolf River near Shawano.
A fisherman discovered the vehicle below Highway 29 near Highway 22 around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday.
Investigators say the driver, a 68-year-old Greshman man, was heading west on 29 nearly six hours earlier when the vehicle left the highway and went into the river.
He was removed from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where his condition is unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
