(PLAINFIELD, WI) — A former Plainfield fire chief accused of stealing from the department says he is “not guilty”.
Jeffrey Kessenich enters the plea in Waushara County Court to two counts of Theft in a Business Setting. Kessenich allegedly used fire department funds to pay for more than 112-thousand dollars in personal expenses from 2023 to last September.
No trial date is set.
