MADISON, Wis. — Democratic candidate Sara Rodriguez has ended her journey to be Wisconsin’s next governor.
Rodriguez announced the decision Friday morning.
“Today I’m suspending my campaign. Thank you to everyone who believed and showed up for this campaign. Let’s keep fighting – together – to protect the Wisconsin we love,” shared Rodriguez in a social media statement.

Currently still in the race for Wisconsin governor, Gov. Tony Evers’ former lieutenant governor, Mandela Barnes; state lawmakers Francesca Hong and Kelda Roys; and former state Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan.
Two candidates running in the Republican primary include Andy Manske, a medical service technician, and Congressman Tom Tiffany.
