We’re continuing to highlight May’s Mental Health Awareness month and are learning more about a type of training that helps in recognizing a suicide crisis. It’s called Question, Persuade, Refer or QPR and training is available in the area. The Communities at Oshkosh North program hopes you’ll consider participating in National Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 21st. Owen Schulze, Sophomore at Oshkosh North High School, part of the Communities at Oshkosh North program shares more about the work he and his classmates have done in researching biking benefits and the work put into their event on Friday.
We’re sharing details of an upcoming benefit, “Hearts to Hart” which is planned for June 19th and will raise funds for Jim Hart. Jim has been involved in the arts community for more than three decades, and recently experienced a tragic fall that’s left him paralyzed from the neck down.
