OSHKOSH, Wis–The Winnebago County District Attorney finds that an Oshkosh Police officer was justified in using lethal force in a March shooting incident.

The officer was taking part in the surveillance of a vehicle belonging to a domestic violence suspect in the 500-block of North Main Street on March 17th. The suspect reportedly rammed a squad car before driving right at the officer, who then fired two shots.
The suspect was struck once, but survived. The officer was not hurt.
Criminal charges against the suspect are still pending.
