Celebrating 15 years in 2019 is the organization, Community Benefit Tree. We’re joined by executive director Heidi Fredrickson, to share more about their IMPACT 15 Challenge. The organization hopes to raise $15,000 in 15 days to help local families overcome medical debt. The challenge runs until October 24th. You can find more information here.
A Concert for Cause takes place Tuesday night at Appleton North High School. The organization Pillars, was chosen as this year’s recipient of donations. We’re joined by Pillar’s Executive Director Joe Mauthe, to learn more about why they were chosen. Joe also shares what Pillars has been up to, as they celebrate one year since the merger of three area homelessness organizations. The concerts at Appleton North are Tuesday, October 15, 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Appleton North High School. The theme of the concert is the importance of home and understanding of homelessness in our community. The concert is free to attend with proceeds from the concerts being donated to Pillars.
The YMCA of the Fox Cities‘ Livestrong program has supported cancer survivors for the past decade. We’re joined by HOV YMCA executive director Brenda Johnson and YMCA Membership/Community Relations Director Sue Pawlowski, to learn more about how this program has impacted 1,100 lives.
