ST. LOUIS — A prominent Northeast Wisconsin supermarket chain is sold.
Skogen’s Festival Foods has been acquired by St. Louis, Missouri-based Schnuck Markets.
The deal also includes the purchase of Hometown Grocers, which operates stores in Algoma, Oconto, Pulaski and Seymour.
As part of the agreement, Festival Foods and Hometown Grocers will continue to operate separately and keep their names.
The deal is expected to be closed by late October.
